Hi, I’m Elgin. I am a 4th year PhD candidate in the Pekosz Lab at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology. I study the evolutionary interface between Influenza B Viruses and the nasal epithelial barrier. Additionally, I maintain 24 Nextstrain builds for seasonal genomic surveillance of H1N1, H3N2 and B/Victoria Viruses originiating isolated from patients in the Johns Hopkins Hospital Network.
